How To Eat Healthy – Where To Start???

It’s all a bit overwhelming isn’t it?

People ask, “Where do I start”?
“How can I begin to eat healthy when I am addicted to junk”?
“How do I know what’s specifically right for me“?

The answers are easier than you think…

How to eat healthy — it starts with baby steps. The first thing we all have in common is starting by getting rid of all the junk. Not all. Just replacing some junk food with some good food.

As far as what foods are right for you, it takes some research and education to learn what’s best for you, in your case. Take me for instance. I ate junk like it was going out of style. I NEVER ate healthy. I avoided veggies like the plague, unitl I got the plague….well sort of. I got sick anyway. Very sick. And I HAD to change everything.

Hopefully you won’t be forced into change like I was, but I began to realize that  certain foods could help my condition. I began to eat more of them, and as I did, my condition improved! Viola! Sounds incredible, and I was shocked to find that food actually helped cure me.

Nature is amazing. the more you learn, the more you want to learn. It’s really cool to discover that a food can help change how you feel on a day to day basis.

Now imagine the high you will feel when you discover one of your personal, “magic” life-changing foods…

It isn’t that hard. In coming articles, we’ll discuss ways of finding out what’s especially good for you, because everyone is different, like the song says…

Now, the world don’t move to the beat of just one drum,
What might be right for you, may not be right for some.
A man is born, he’s a man of means.
Then along come two, they got nothing but their jeans.

But they got, Diff’rent Strokes.
It takes, Diff’rent Strokes.
It takes, Diff’rent Strokes to move the world.

-Thicke, Loring & Burton

Yeah, I know, cheesy, but fun…:)

So each of us needs to kind of “specialize” in certain foods to feed our weaknesses, and enhance our strengths. Think top athletes might know their “magic” foods? Of course they do, and so will you if you stick around here.

Now as far as eating junk, junk food is an addiction, like smoking or drugs, there are many ways to conquer the habit. And make no mistake, it is a habit. And habits can be broken. The first step is recognizing what it’s doing to you and wanting to do the right thing for yourself.

Eating healthy is a way of life. When you eat healthy, you begin to understand how your body really works. It’s very freeing because you’re no longer a slave to eating binges, and grabbing that pack o’ junk and stuffing it in your pie-hole without thinking.

We’re not babies anymore, and we don’t need baby gratification to feed our bad moods. Once you realize that, and begin to eat healthy, it’s like a veil is lifted from in front of your eyes. It feels GOOD! And you feel good. You find yourself reaching for good stuff instead of junk, and you begin to realize that you are not sabotaging yourself, your future, and your loved ones from having you around for a long time.

It feels good to be healthy, and that allows you to focus on your career, your family, friends and enjoying life.

“Does it mean I have to never, ever have another goodie for the rest of my life, starting now???”

No, take it easy sugarshack.  I’ll show you ways to get off the stuff. Once you’re off it, something funny happens. When you try it again, it doesn’t taste the same. Sugar makes my heart pound now. Whenever I eat it, it makes me feel hyper and weird. I never noticed it when I had junk every day, but now, I don’t like the feeling. I have substitutes for junk that taste just as good, and much better for you.

I just wanted give you kind of a basic primer here. So there you go, and stay tuned for a lot of great stuff I’m excited to share with you!

Change your health, change your life,

Michael
